The black-and-white photographs in Yuko Kotaki’s (@yukokotaki) “Gossamer” capture the gracile, brittle moments of life that appear like a spider’s silken thread floating in the summer breeze. Her photographs show concrete objects captured at certain time in space, yet each of her images seems to hold secret connections to a different time, a different place, as if they are reverberations of a greater, sentimental story.

“But then, am I a lonely person now..? No, I don’t believe I am. It is simply an instability, like a spider’s silk shimmering in a breeze, soft and indefinable.” (from Yuko Kotaki’s afterword)
