Before Google Maps and the like existed, hand markings were often applied to holiday greetings on the postcards. The small interventions were provided with crosses, arrows, circles or comments. So you wanted eg. a more precise position of the hotel where you stayed or where you lay on the beach. For postcard collectors such postcards written on the picture side are considered inferior. With “Hello, we are here”, Alberto Vieceli presents a selection of 110 postcards from his collection. The introductory text is by Max Küng, who also contributed a postcard.
