Shinro Ohtake is known both in Japan and internationally for his great expressive range in various disciplines, from illustrated books, photography, sculpture and collage, to musical activities as well.

This beautiful little book is a photographic record of “I Love Yu”, the public bathhouse he opened on the island of Naoshima in 2009.

With its unprecedented marrying of art appreciation with the activity of bathing, this ‘piece’ is a distillation of Ohtake’s worldview, and is regarded as his greatest masterpiece to date. A small-format, accordion-style picture book.
