This photo collection was produced prior to the performance of "SHUGEN ~Celebration / Expression~", which is a international collaboration project for a contemporary theatre involving actors, dancers, and musicians from Japan, China, Korea, co-sponsored by the Aomori Museum of Art and the Japan Foundation.

Employing an approach used in road movies, it depicts each character's personal history and family relationships, and to say further, their destination from having been born in each country, which are incorporated in the landscape where they have each lived. These images produced by two photographers working in Japan and Korea play an indispensable role in the production of this new play.
