This is a story with a known ending from the beginning. Big Hung is an official who works in a funeral parlor. In the past, he attempted suicide by taking sleeping pills but failed. He also experienced a major accident, a fire, where he was saved from the brink of death despite doctors predicting a low chance of survival.
After recovering, Big Hung continues to suffer from injuries, and his burned face leads to discrimination, making his life full of pain. Eventually, he faces a relapse of cancer, and death once again approaches. This time, he chooses to face the camera with honesty. Big Hung firmly believes in the existence of the afterlife and, working in the funeral parlor, he has already planned his posthumous affairs. Perhaps, deep down in his mind, he longs for a pain-free world of freedom.
This book chronicles the last three years of Big Hung's life, attached with scattered dialogues between the photographer and Big Hung, in addition, some photos taken by Big Hung himself.
