To bring fresh energy to 2025, to_press collaborated with artist Ah-He in 2024 to create a meditation-themed calendar. Known for his work with lines, geometry, color blocks, and symbols, Ah-He views art as a journey of self-discovery and faith-building, transforming himself into the brush as he explores the universe.
Ah-He has designed a unique meditation character for each month of the year, lovingly referred to "meditation heroes”, including Clarity Through Meditation, Roadkill Bird, Tree of Life, Flame Man, Emotion Meow, Punk Scholar, and more.
Not only are they reflections of Jianhe’s own life mentors, but they are also here to accompany us throughout the year, helping us inhale and exhale mindfully during our meditation journey.
“Haramita” comes from the Heart Sutra, meaning “to cross (hara) to the other shore (mita),” signifying enlightenment or nirvana. Since the 8th century, it has also symbolized the vessel carrying us toward awakening.
I hope Calendar Haramita 2025 冥明曆 will accompany you on your journey to clarity and self-realization in 2025.
