Kapadokya is the third chapter of Nomadic Editions, a series of books in which italian photographer Renato D'Agostin explores a subject for as long as a tourist would visit a location or experience an event, without going back. A one-time experience in which the moment becomes the only possibility. Following Etna (Nomadic Editions, 2013) and Acrobats (Nomadic Editions, 2014), Kapadokya continues D'Agostin's exploration.
Three days on the back of a motorcycle exploring the breathtaking landscapes of turkish region Kapadokya, Renato D'Agostin distills elements from its history and geology, suggesting an evocative look into a remote place of our planet, opening a new portal into the viewer's imagination.
These photographs have been shot with Leica M6 and Nikon F100 and the prints have been made by Renato D'Agostin in his New York darkroom. The grain from the film stands out becoming part of the landscape's texture, inviting the viewer to experience a dreamy and mysterious journey through the matter of Kapadokya's stunning nature.
