Having spent the majority of his career providing creative direction for luxury fashion brands, documenting unsophisticated, raw and sometimes undecipherable messages observed in the street provided contrast – the joy of the 'amateur' and accidental vs the constraint of the 'professional' and carefully contrived. A selection of the images are now drawn together in a limited edition book of the same name.
The eponymous sign in the cover image was found in the window of a slot-machine arcade in Peckham, and conveniently summed-up the unusualness and frequency of the discoveries documented in the images.
