Morena was born in two thousand and fourteen by the spanish design duo Córdova Canillas and Jan Rivera as a publication that explores the erotic vibes between a photographer and the model.

Richard Kern is a New York filmmaker, writer and photographer. He established himself as part of the underground cultural scene in the East Village of New York City during the 1980s, producing underground zines featuring art, poetry, photography and fiction, and later directing erotic and experimental films.

Since the 1990s, Kern has turned almost exclusively to still photography, and in the past years he has published several photography books with Taschen starring young nude women. In this fourth issue of morena, Kern shoots his yoga partner/model Michelle, in a two-day shoot taken in Cornwall Bridge, Connecticut.
