Reprint out! The updated version of Cheng Xinhao's "24 Mails from the Railway".

The Yunnan-Vietnam Railway, connecting Kunming in Yunnan, China and Haiphong, a port city in Vietnam, was built by French colonists in 1910 and was the first modern road connecting Yunnan to the outside world in the hinterland of southwest China at that time. Today, more than a century later, the mission of the Yunnan-Vietnam Railway as an international artery is nearing the end, and with the development of modern Chinese highways and railways, it has gradually become a certain historical stratum.

Artist Cheng Xinhao chose to walk the abandoned railway again in 2019, picking up a stone every kilometer and carrying it on his back, and sending an email to his friend "X" every night. For 449 kilometers, he accumulated 449 stones and 24 mails.

In 2020, with these mails as the main body, publisher Jiazazhi produced "24 Mails from the Railway" for him, which quickly sold out. Now, the new version have partially revised the previous edition to give it a more formal look for a wider audience.
