森山大道
1938年10月10日出生於大阪。走在日本攝影的最前沿，森山大道以其標誌性粗糙高反差粒子、失焦、晃動的攝影風格而聞名。他遊蕩於大街小巷，自稱野犬――「我以前每天就像一條狗在路上到處排泄似的在街頭各處拍攝照片」――倚著敏銳的直覺、獵人式的拍攝手法，進行快拍或不觀看觀景窗的方式隨拍，對時代的變化作出敏感的反應。
森山早期擔任平面設計師一職，偶然機會中見到William Klein作品《紐約》，受到啟發而投身攝影。1959年，進入岩宮武二攝影工作室。1961年轉赴東京，欲參加攝影師組成的團體「VIVO」，卻因剛巧解散，最後轉任 VIVO其一成員攝影師細江英公的助理，並協助完成著名的《薔薇刑》。1963年成為自由攝影師，移居神奈川縣逗子市，與同住該地的中平卓馬成為好友，1966年兩人於澀谷開設共同事務所，同時期以橫須賀美軍基地、熱海、新宿、淺草等地為題進行創作，逐漸於攝影界嶄露頭角。
