Stephen Shore
1947年出生於美國紐約市，Stephen Shore在6歲時收到親戚的禮物——一套Kodak Junior暗房器材——而開始接觸攝影。10歲時，鄰居送給他一本Walker Evans的攝影集《American Photographs》，對其往後創作產生巨大的影響。1962年，年僅14歲的Stephen Shore受到MoMA攝影總監Edward Steichen的青睞與賞識，買下了其三幅作品。
1965年，17歲的Stephen Shore已經在紐約當代藝術圈遊走，直至1967年為止的兩年時間，透過35釐米相機記錄下極具代表性的傳奇工作室——Andy Warhol的工廠。幾乎每天都在此拍攝各個進出的人們：歌手、演員、藝術家與作家，包含60年代當紅影星Edie Sedgwick、地下絲絨樂團主要人物Lou Reed，以及Andy Warhol本人。
